En scouthoops y rivals le dan como el sexto mejor center del 2009 y entre los 50 primeros y en la ESPN el tercer mejor center.
Former Indiana standout Jordan Crawford is transferring to Xavier.
Tennessee head coach Bruce Pearl is trying to get ahead this July since he’ll miss about 75 percent of next July’s recruiting period to coach USA’s team in the Maccabi Games in Israel.
``2010 is a very important class for us, so what I’m going to have to do is try hard this summer to focus on 2010 and see if we can get ahead,” Pearl said.
Pearl has already held two training camps – one in New York and one in Knoxville less than two weeks ago. He’ll have one more in Los Angeles next month before announcing the team.
``It’s an opportunity to represent our country in international competition,” Pearl said.
Look for Duke’s Jon Scheyer, Arizona State’s Derek Glasser and former Stanford guard Dan Grunfeld to be on the team.
Pearl, who is the first college coach to lead the team since 1993, will be assisted by ESPN’s Doug Gottlieb and La Salle’s Harris Adler
I forgot to mention the fact that Marquette coach Buzz Williams picked up a commitment earlier this week from talented senior point guard J.R. Cadougan
Super sophomore La’Quinton Ross of Jackson, Miss. has an extended college list that includes USC, Mississippi State, Baylor, Ole Miss, Maryland, Alabama, Memphis, Syracuse, Florida and Texas.
Sidney told me his Top 6 include Texas, Texas A&M, Arizona State, USC, UCLA and Memphis.

Es del 87, mide 1.99m y al menos en la seleccion italiana, ha mostrado que puede desenvolverse bien tanto en el puesto de base como el de escolta.
Lo acabo de sacar del post de la LEGA
Saint Mary’s guard Patrick Mills made the 12-man Australian Olympic team. Mills is the only men’s basketball player currently playing college basketball in the U.S. and is also the youngest player (he turns 20 on Aug. 11) on any Olympic roster of the 12 teams that will compete in Beijing.
Arizona Coach Lute Olson said Thursday that his program's loss of standout prep basketball player Brandon Jennings to a European professional league had convinced him to adopt a new recruiting strategy. "It's a situation now that if someone's a 'one-and-done,' we're not going to pursue them anymore, no way," Olson said from his Tucson office. Olson, 73, a basketball Hall of Fame member who guided the Wildcats to a 1997 NCAA title, labels the so-called one-and-done situation a "farce," and is pushing for reform as a member of the National Assn. of Basketball Coaches. Olson suggests that elite prep players be given a choice: opt to declare for the NBA draft immediately after high school, or be committed to spending a minimum of two years (Olson would prefer three) in college.

Yo le veo mucho más de escolta tirador en Europa.
