Definitivo.
Devontae Watson is one of the better rising seniors in Pennsylvania. A 6-foot-10, 210-pound center out of Lincoln Park High School, Watson checked in with Hawk Hill Hardwood during AAU Nationals last week.
Watson listed scholarship offers from Duquesne, Dayton, Temple, Akron, Cleveland State, Penn State, and Rider. In addition, he said he is garnering interest from Florida State, Arkansas, St. Joseph's, and others.
"I'd have to say Temple and St. Joe's been coming at me the hardest right now," Watson said. "All the schools, but I'd say Temple and St. Joe's . . . and Akron too."
Daniel Dingle, a 6-foot-7 forward from St. Raymond’s in the Bronx, has cut his list to seven schools.
Dingle is down to Temple, Auburn, Arizona, UMass, Seton Hall, Maryland and Missouri.
Katin Reinhardt is off the board.
The 6-foot-5 shooting guard from Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei verbally pledged to UNLV on Thursday.
The No. 8 shooting guard in the Class of 2012 per Rivals, Reinhardt also considered Texas, St. John’s, Baylor, Syracuse, Washington State, Arizona State. West Virginia and N.C. State.
Dajuan Coleman has spent more time this summer with Ohio State big man Jared Sullinger, the Buckeyes are on level ground with the Orange and the Wildcats.
“They’re definitely equal now that I did a little more research and stuff like that,” Coleman told SNY.tv by phone from the adidas Nations event in Los Angeles.
Coleman said Sullinger, whom he has known for several years, has pitched him the idea of coming to Ohio State, possibly to replace Sullinger after he heads to the NBA following his sophomore season.
It appears as if it will come down to Syracuse, the hometown school, Kentucky or Ohio State when all is said and done.
“That’s my top three,” he said.
Highly regarded forward Mitch McGary of Brewster (N.H.) Academy has trimmed his list to six schools: Florida, Maryland, North Carolina, Michigan, Duke and Kentucky.
