New Orleans Pelicans firman 1 contrato de 10 días a Isaiah Thomas:
Isaiah Thomas to make his Pelicans debut on Sunday

Shams Charania: Isaiah Thomas is signing a 10-day contract with New Orleans and is eligible to make his Pelicans debut on Sunday vs. Houston, sources tell @TheAthletic @Stadium.
– via Twitter ShamsCharania

Sources said Thomas has been in New Orleans undergoing COVID-19 testing, which will allow him to join the team immediately. The deal is expected to be finalized Saturday, clearing the way for Thomas to join the Pelicans before Sunday’s game at Houston. The Pelicans needed to sign a player by Saturday to reach the NBA’s 14-man roster requirement. According to ESPN’s Bobby Marks, the Pelicans are $346,000 below the luxury tax, so 10-day contracts work better for the team in the short term.

Rockets to waive Ben McLemore

Shams Charania: The Houston Rockets are planning to waive swingman Ben McLemore, sources tell @TheAthletic @Stadium. Several contenders are expected to express interest in the sharpshooting wing.

Sacramento Kings cortarán a DaQuan Jeffries:
Kings to waive DaQuan Jeffries

Following the Kings’ disappointing loss to the Los Angeles Lakers on Friday night at Golden 1 Center, Sacramento is set to make a roster move. An NBA source confirmed to NBC Sports California that the Kings intend to waive second-year guard/forward DaQuan Jeffries. After missing the first 24 games of the season with an ankle injury, Jeffries earned a spot in the rotation. But over his last 11 games, Jeffries has played a total of 28 minutes, including seven games where he didn’t step on the floor.

ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reported the cap and tax projections for the future seasons as follows:

2021-2022: $112 million and $136.6 million
2022-2023: $115.7 million and $140 million
2023-2024: $119.2 million and $144.9 million
https://bleacherreport.com/articles/291 ... 24-seasons

Early thinking within league circles suggests the NBA will seek a $75 billion multiyear rights package, up from its current $24 billion deal, which pays $2.6 billion per year.
The NBA could increase that figure to $8 billion per year in its next agreement with partners Turner Sports and ESPN.
The NBA also has a $1.5 billion streaming deal with Chinese-based company Tencent Holdings.
https://www.cnbc.com/2021/03/22/nba-is- ... price.html

The Salary Cap is calculated by multiplying projected Basketball-Related Income (or “BRI”) by 44.74%, less projected player benefits (like health and welfare benefits), and then dividing the result by 30 (the current number of NBA teams; if the NBA expands, to Seattle for example, that number isn’t increased for the first two years the expansion team is part of the league).

The Salary Cap for the 2019-20 season is $109.14 million. The minimum team salary for the 2019-20 season is $98.226 million. (For context, the Salary Cap and the minimum team salary for the 2018-19 season was $101.869 million and $91.682 million, respectively.)
https://cbabreakdown.com/salary-cap-overview

Gabriel Deck flying to Oklahoma City in the next few hours, contract is for three years

Austin Rivers an option for Nuggets?

It’s possible a team with a trade exception of at least $3.0 million and room under the tax line claims him, with Chicago, Dallas, Denver and Indiana all checking that box. The fit in Denver, given the Nuggets’ paucity of guards and need for inexpensive role players on next year’s cap, seems particularly intriguing.
2 weeks ago – via John Hollinger @ The Athletic
Bobby Marks: Austin Rivers had $1.1M left on his contract that OKC will be responsible for (unless he is claimed). His $3.25M and $3.15M contract in the next 2 years were non-guaranteed. Good way to look at the trade is OKC paying $1.1M for 2 second round picks (2025 and 2026 from PHI).
