There's a roster full of uncertainty, as the Clippers have only five players with guaranteed contracts for next season: center Chris Kaman, point guard Brevin Knight, small forward Cuttino Mobley, power forward Tim Thomas and rookie forward Al Thornton.

The Magic could have interest in Los Angeles Clippers guard Corey Maggette or Golden State's Mickael Pietrus in free agency. Maggette would have to first opt out of his contract. Restricted free agents Josh Childress and Luol Deng also could appeal to the Magic.
People have been clamouring for a player such as Corey Maggette of the Los Angeles Clippers, an athletic wing who is capable of averaging 20 a night and attacking the rim.
The Clippers can use a point guard and Calderon's family probably wouldn't object to southern California's warm climate.
It's just one of many possibilities to ponder as July 1 approaches and as the Raptors try to solve their mess at the point position.
Dunleavy and general manager Elgin Baylor said that the team will examine myriad possibilities, including a trade, with its pick.
"We have a lot of moving parts right now," Dunleavy said. "We have lot of guys who are free agents, we have guys that have been injured, there's a lot more information we need to have and we basically have another
four, five weeks to make those decisions."
Power forward Elton Brand and swingman Corey Maggette have the right to opt out of the final year of their contracts July 1. The draft is June 26, so the team won't know of their decisions before making its pick.
"The common-sense portion of it is, Corey is probably going to opt out. Elton, you're probably not exactly sure of," Dunleavy said. "But if both guys were to opt out, I think both guys want to be back in LA and from an organizational standpoint, I think we want both guys there, so you just kind of go from there."
The team's most obvious need is at point guard. Sam Cassell is in Boston, Shaun Livingston is still a week or two away from contact drills after a horrific knee injury two seasons ago, and Brevin Knight and Dan Dickau are better suited to back-up roles.
"We have to look at our point guard situation very closely," Baylor said.
This draft just happens to be loaded with point guards and combo guards like ose, USC freshman O.J. Mayo and Indiana freshman Eric Gordon.
"Clearly the idea we go with is who is the best player at that time," Dunleavy said. "Overall best player is always going to override need. But if it's close, you're going to go for your need."
