:botar:

Dominic Artis, a 6-foot-1 point guard ranked No. 15 nationally by Rivals, has verbally committed to UCLA for 2012.

Jevon Thomas has decommitted from St. John’s.

“I’m decommitting from St. John’s,” the 2012 floor general from Our Savior New American told Alex Kline of The Recruit Scoop Saturday afternoon. “I think I rushed into my decision way to early. I want to see more options and go from there.” Thomas will still consider the Johnnies.

Tony Woods, the dismissed Wake Forest center, will arrive at Oregon in early August for summer school and will be immediately eligible to play in the 2011-12 season.

Reiterating comments Tony Parker made last month, his AAU coach, Norm Parker, said the big man’s top three schools are Duke, Ohio State and Memphis.

Myles Davis is headed to Xavier.

The 6-foot-2, 193-pound shooting guard from the Playaz Basketball Club and Notre Dame Prep opted for Xavier over Pittsburgh, Georgetown and West Virginia.

Duke is investigating whether an NCAA recruiting rule was violated when coach Mike Krzyzewski reportedly offered a scholarship to a recruit during a summer tournament.

Forward Alex Poythress told CBSSports.com that Krzyzewski spoke to him earlier this week while he was in Orlando, Fla., for a tournament with his AAU team, the Georgia Stars, and offered him a scholarship.

The Michigan Wolverines received their second commitment in as many days from a member of the Class of 2013, ESPN's Dave Telep reported on Monday.

"After obtaining a verbal from wing Zak Irvin (Sunday), John Beilein and his staff picked up their fourth pledge from the Class of 2013," Telep said.

Derrick Walton (Detroit, Mich./Chandler Park Academy) said he knew he was ready following the summer circuit. "I can trust them on and off the court," Walton told ESPN. "The coaching staff is formed of guys that are very honest and a few guys are from where I?m from so I could relate to them."

Walton said Michigan State was pursuing him and he had offers from Xavier, Valparaiso, Central Michigan, Eastern Michigan and Iowa State.

With the decision out of the way, Walton joins Irvin, guard Austin Hatch (Ft. Wayne, Ind./Canterbury) and power forward Mark Donnal (Whitehouse, Ohio/Anthony Wayne).

Rotnei Clarke, one of the nation’s best shooting guards, will transfer from Arkansas to Butler.

His father confirmed the decision in a text message Monday night. CBSsports.com first reported the move.

It’s a major recruiting win for the Bulldogs, who have lost the national championship game each of the past two seasons.

Clarke averaged 15.2 points for Arkansas last season and shot well from 3-point range.

Here's the confirmed big-game home schedule for this season:

1. Washington State, November 14th (Monday)

2. Notre Dame, November 30th (Wednesday)

3. Michigan State, December 10th (Saturday)

4. Arizona, December 17th (Saturday)--Battle In Seattle

5. Butler, December 20th (Tuesday)
