I haven’t felt this healthy in a long time. Back to my rookie weight. 195 right now. It’s been what, 13 years since I’ve been that weight”
— Derrick Rose
I haven’t felt this healthy in a long time. Back to my rookie weight. 195 right now.
King rules the NBA escribió:A mi el equipo me suscita curiosidad.
He's happy with the development of the young players and how they've improved this summer. Leon isn't a media personality, but he came across as trying to add information (to the amount that he could share). It's reassuring to hear that what he says is what we've been hearing in bits and pieces for weeks now.
I think Hahn asked good questions, although in principle, I prefer it when the POBO faces the press (kind of like a firing squad). I don't know if we'd have been better served by having BOTP, Begley, and others trying to ask questions to make themselves look good, or trying to stir things up.
He really likes Hart, and is clearly familiar with his strengths. He loves Quentin and said he was great last year, and loves how hard he's worked over the summer. "Obi's production skyrocketed when he got big minutes. Did you see something you didn't know he had?" The answer was not positive enough for me. He praised Obi without promising big minutes.
He said Derrick Rose looks great and was sorely missed last year said he was the heart of the 2020-2021 team
He said Cam never asked for a trade and his reps never asked for a trade. Cam has been working with the Knicks coaches all summer, and he sounds positive about making him a part of the team.
This was certainly better than what we've had from him before and nothing he said was very upsetting. He seemed to be saying they're going to emphasize the youth, but he did say it's Thibs team to decide who plays, how many minutes, etc. But he said that Thibs will make decisions based on who's going to help us win games, and everybody starts with a clean slate. Hmmm.
Talked highly of all the young guys Obi, IQ, Grimes, Mitch, and Rj who he said was the cornerstone of the Knicks
Hahn, "After the disappointment last year, is there any extra pressure on Tom Thibodeau?"
"No, we're continuing with the plan. We're going to develop, become opportunistic... I'm so excited about starting our training camp next Week..."
I though he spoke better than I'd feared, although I didn't hear enough of what I wanted to hear about playing Obi, and he certainly emphasized what phenomenal shape Juilius is in. He admitted Randle had rough patches but said he's learned from that.
He ended with a message to the fans saying how important their support is to the team.
All in all, the most definite answer he gave was in anwer to the question, "Was there any tampering going on with signing Jalen Brunson?"
"No."
Hahn: "OK, let's move on to the next question..."
Sus peleas con Isola del Daily News (anti Marbury) fueron míticasAfter covering the Knicks for 23 straight seasons that featured 227 Knicks players and 14 head coaches, this is the last shot and last call. I’ll be evolving away from The Post and heading to the palm trees of paradise.
After 50 years of parade-less seasons, let’s hope the Knicks can reach paradise, too.
"I learned a lot, it's easy to be a leader when things are going good, when it's not, it's even more important, I learned a lot."
- Julius Randle on the leadership title that he carried
"I'm not a savior in any way, shape, or form. I just want to be able to contribute to the team"
- Jalen Brunson talks about what he will bring to this team this upcoming season
