Se le caen los puntos al bueno de willy ( que gran facilidad tiene para anotar) pero mucho tiene que mejorar en defensa para ser alguien de renombre en la enbiei.

Para mi, su best case es ser un pívot suplente de gran calidad, que aguante la anotación de la segunda unidad. un lujo de suplente pero no buen titular.

Esa es mi esperanza con el, tener un lujo de pívot suplente. No se si con eso me da para subirme al bote salvavidas.

Lo bueno es que este año tiene otra oportunidad ya que sus compañeros de puesto tampoco serían titulares en ningún otro equipo serían titulares, y tendrá bastantes minutos para crecer.

- Great question: With Butler and George leaving the East, it seems wide open...does that change your strategy on Melo? Perry answers just as well "we're focused on us...and we'll let the chips fall where they may." Closes with words about trying to win which I can respect.

- Horny "we're gonna ask Melo to run plays and defensive schemes that we ask but obviously I'm not gonna not start him."

- Perry: If there was something there to benefit Melo and the Knicks, we'd have done it but obviously we're here today and it hasn't happened yet (so glad he added that "yet" in there).

- On vets: We wanted guys with a lot of NBA experience. We're looking for guys that will be good professionals, competition and mentors for guys like Frank. Perry has used the word professional in nearly every response.
Hornacek: You haven't seen these pick up games but we see it already. These guys are already taking young guys aside and teaching them. The young guys' ears are wide open.

- Low Class Media Move number three: Asking if they're worried about Melo on Weds. or some nonsense...I can't tell if they're asking whether Melo will get mad at the roster he meets or whether he'll holdout and show up late but I'll admit that I missed part of the question.

- Mills dodges another question about KP skipping exit meetings.

- No playoffs talk, focus is on players getting better. But they want players to go out expecting to win and if they compete every night then they'll be okay with the results.

- A second question about KP taking over the team in case Melo is dealt. Perry shuts it down "I'm not answering a hypothetical. If something changes, we'll answer it at that time." Mills "we do look forward to giving him opportunities to be that guy in games and in situations in conjunction with Melo" Fam...I don't think they're gonna find a Melo trade period. That's the sentiment I'm getting, they want to deal him but won't commit to it because nothing's available.

- The PG's they've brought in understood their roles coming in and Perry feels the competition for minutes will only help Frank.

- Low Class Media Move maxed out: Asking Mills and Perry about Hornacek's job security while he's SITTING RIGHT THERE. Just wow.

- Asked about the front office philosophy, Perry dances around the question. I didn't like that one. He said the staff has varied expertise but that was it for substance.

- Hornacek is doing really well. Speaking on tailoring the system to player strengths and creating a system that they enjoy running. Big difference from the triangle chats. Hornacek also says Perry hasn't shut him down on any of his suggestions, sounded very gracious. Finished with "Bring on Tuesday so we can get this thing started."

- Hornacek is impressed with the Euro boys performance, they should be in great shape but he's gonna monitor them for fatigue as well. Perry adds that you could see them maturing and says that sort of competition is really conducive for player development and growth. Mills says they're coming back with more confidence.

- Joakim Health Question: They've seen him, he looks like he's in shape and seems committed. He's been at the facility for a couple of weeks. They actually say he gets ahead of himself and they have to slow him down sometimes.

- Question on lack of individual defenders. Hornacek says one or two guys bringing it can sometimes transform and motivate a team. They have a different defensive plan that he thinks will help guys trust each other and get after it. "we need guys that will compete every play."

- What should Knicks fans be most excited about? Perry: Commitment to defense is what they want to establish on a daily basis. Horny: You've heard about contagious defense how about contagious passing. You get 2, 3, 4, 5 guys and it becomes 6,7,8,9 guys doing it. Seemed like a real message to Melo tbh.

Perry said "We expect Melo to be professional" every time the name came up...just sayin.

Perry, ha dicho que si hubiera habido un trade que beneficiase a Melo y a los Knicks se hubiera hecho. Dando a entender que habrá habido la oferta de Rockets pero que era insuficienta para nosotros. Bien.

También, hay quien dice que está poniendo presión, sobre Melo, con que cada vez que se les ha preguntado sobre Melo en el equipo, han empezado la frase con un "we expect Melo to be professional"....

Viendo la rueda de prensa, miedito me da el media day y todo lo que esos buitres puedan formar el lunes.

Nos conviene cuanto antes sacarnos a Melo de encima y trabajar con un bloque centrado, cohesionado, sin distracciones y peliculas continuas sobre el futuro de Melo.


PD: Me ha gustado mucho que tanto Mills como Perry cuenten que si Hornacek esta ahi, con ellos, es que es parte del "equipo" y tienen confianza total en él...

- Hornacek reniega ahora del triángulo. Menudo vendido el amigo. Renunció a su forma de pensar por un banquillo.

- Los Knicks aparentan falsa tranquilidad con Melo para traspasarlo. Puro juego psicológico. Las ofertas existen pero no satisfacen salvo Portland que ahí tiene Melo la decisión.

- Mills y Perry quieren dejar a la franquicia con una buena imagen hacia el exterior y de ahí sus buenas palabras e intenciones con Melo. Coherente cuanto menos y es de agradecer sabiendo como se las gastan en los Knicls los ultimos años.

- Ntilikina lo ven verde pero tendrá minutos. Noah está muy fuertesito este verano y que los euroboys molan mucho a ojos de los jefes y el coach.

- KP será el nuevo rey de NY y que ''no'' tiene mala relación con Hornacek (Rambis). Este no dura un año más.

- Y por último que no renuncian a ganar partidos. Irán a tope con transiciones más rápidas y mayor defensa.
Ya perderemos los partidos por lo malos que somos, tanking modo ON.

PD: Sotero, Hornacek vino a aplicar un juego mas rapido y variantes tácticas a un triángulo que no habia funcionado con Fisher y Rambis. Phil respeto a Horny hasta Navidad, cuando empezaron las derrotas, Phil volvio a querer imponer el triángulo a full... jamas fue contratado Horny para el triángulo, eso seguro.

A ver si tiene efecto en los Rockets y terminan soltando mejores cosas. A los Cavs les pido el pick de los Nets y todos contentos

Perfecto. De los Cavaliers, lo de siempre.. Un joven (Osman no va a jugar prácticamente nada si el equipo se hace para intentar ganar el anillo como parece que así va a ser), algo de relleno que nos pueda ser útil (Shumpert para el 2-3 puede ser interesante y con este jugador ya podemos traspasar a Lee por una ronda en Febrero y tendremos la posición cubierta con un sueldo parecido pero creo que acaba 1 año antes y todo) y luego alguien como Frye que ya jugó aquí y que encima es un complemento perfecto tanto para Willy como para que Porzingis pueda jugar de center, pues me parece muy acertado que sea parte del traspaso.

En resumen: Shumpert + Frye + Osman y faltan 600k según la Trade Machine que los pueden ocupar o el mismo Tavares o Kay Felder aunque este último no creo que nos haga mucha falta. Por supuesto, el pick de los Nets que tiene una pinta que apesta a TOP-10 ni lo olemos, pero a cambio tenemos a un Osman que si juega lo va a hacer francamente bien porque es un muy buen jugador, a Frye que nos libera $7.3M más luego a Shumpert al que quedará 1 año más por $10.3M siendo expiring. Ni tan mal, oiga. Y todo eso teniendo en cuenta que el suelo de Cedi Osman es de $2M aproximados. Una verdadera ganga.

Según Begley OKC es el tercer equipo de la lista.

Era absurdo que se humillase de tal manera con los Rockets, su cabezonaría hacía que Morey tan solo lo valorara por Ryan Anderson.

Yo creo que el trade de Cavs debería centrarse en Osman, Shumpert y Frye. Y el de OKC en Kanter y Terrance Fergusson.
