ESPN is planning to move at least eight of its men's college basketball events to the ESPN Wide World of Sports property at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida, conference and team sources told ESPN.

ESPN runs 10 nonconference events in November and December, and at least eight of them are expected to take place in Orlando this year. The Champions Classic, Charleston Classic, Myrtle Beach Invitational, NIT Season Tip-Off, Wooden Legacy, Orlando Invitational, Jimmy V Classic and Diamond Head Classic are expected to move to Disney.

The events are expected to begin on Nov. 25, the new start date of the 2020-21 college basketball season, and run for the first two weeks of the season

Ryan Mutombo, the son of former NBA player and Hall of Famer Dikembe Mutombo, announced Sunday he would follow in his father's footsteps by committing to play basketball at Georgetown.

A legitimate impact recruit in his own right, Mutombo is ranked No. 94 in the ESPN 100 for the 2021 class. He's the No. 15 center in the country and reportedly averaged about 24 points, 12 rebounds and 4 blocks last season for the Lovett School (Georgia).

ESPN 100 senior Johnathan Lawson announced his commitment to Oregon on Wednesday, giving Dana Altman his second top-50 pledge in the 2021 class.

Lawson is the youngest of the Lawson basketball family, which has produced four high-major college basketball players. Dedric and K.J. started their careers at Memphis before transferring to Kansas, with K.J. ending his career at Tulane. Chandler will be a sophomore at Oregon this season and will likely still be in Eugene when Johnathan arrives on campus in 2021.
Five-star guard J.D. Davison announced his commitment to Alabama on Saturday, giving Nate Oats his first five-star recruit since taking over in Tuscaloosa.

Davison chose the Crimson Tide over Auburn, LSU, Memphis, Michigan and Kansas.

Kansas forward Silvio de Sousa is opting out of the upcoming college basketball season, potentially ending what has been one of the most controversial tenures of any player to have joined coach Bill Self's blueblood program.

Arizona received its notice of allegations from the NCAA, the school announced on Friday. It provided no further information.

"In order to protect the integrity of the ongoing enforcement process, the University is not releasing the NOA at this time," the school said.

Arizona Board of Regents Chair Larry E. Penley released a statement shortly after the school's announcement.
