una plantilla asi no creo que llegara a 70 millones de $, suponiendo que Kristic le pagaramos alrededor de 6 kilos y a Boki y Diop entre 3-4 cada uno.

Con una plantilla así, seguramente el pick nº21 deberíamos gastarlo en un interior. Yo no creo que Armstrong siga, si sigue jugando creo que irá a un equipo aspirante.

Diop lo sigo viendo complicado, sería cuestión de dinero, yo sigo pensando que va a un equipo contendiente, ojalá me equivoque. Curly si nadie le da la MLE entera se queda seguro, y Boki se irá si algún equipo le ofrece $4 millones al año. Yo creo que por $3/ 3.5 kilos se podría quedar.

Yo creo que se queda Krstic, Nachbar ahí ahí y Gana pienso que no seguirá.

Si Hansbrough hubiera decidido presentarse sería perfecto... Jason Thompson suena para caer por ahí más o menos, y en varios sitios le han colocado en la órbita de los Nets... Hibbert no sé si estaría disponible con el nº21, en algún que otro mock le he visto por ahí, pero tampoco me fío de algunos mocks, a ver si JJ nos aclara si puede estar disponible en el nº21...

Hibbert ha bajado mucho su stock esta temporada pero es complicado que caiga al 21 es un 7-2 y es un buen jugador por poco que haga en los workouts saldrá antes del 20 fijo. Jason Thompson es un jugador que me encanta y que hará carrera en la NBA sin ninguna duda aporta de todo sin ser un jugador espectacular en nada, es decir, no se le puede calificar de anotador porque no lo es pero tiene bastantes recursos ofensivos, es un buen reboteador, agil, versátil, es un buen defesnor, suma en todos los aspectos del juego y te puedo asegurar que de esos en este draft hay muy pocos.

Si al final nos quedamos con los 2 picks, yo pillaba a Love con el 10 y a Douglas-Roberts con el 21 (si están disponibles, claro).

Carter Takes the Lead

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- The official press release hit the wires on April 23rd announcing that Vince Carter underwent successful right arthroscopic ankle surgery. All the intimations of his playing almost an entire season with pain in that ankle were officially confirmed and it was finally known just what he was dealing with.

It was all the way back on November 10th – game number six of the season – and the Nets were 4-1 and looking to show the newly revamped Boston Celtics that they were here to compete in the Atlantic Division. In the third quarter, Carter converted on a dunk; unfortunately, upon landing his ankle turned on Paul Pierce’s foot at a truly awkward angle. He left and would not return.

New Jersey lost that game and the next five, all as Carter sat. He returned in Portland and helped the Nets stop the bleeding with a win on the second game of a four-game West Coast swing. They then won the final two games – marking one of their most successful West Coast trips ever - and Vince’s presence was a major factor. That ankle, however, would never fully recover the rest of the season.

Still, the 31 year-old guard finished the year with stat sheet-stuffing averages of 21.3 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 5.1 assists in 76 games. And, especially after the Jason Kidd trade was made in late February, he really stepped up into a greater leadership role, cemented by his insistence to finish out the season even as the Nets were eliminated from playoff contention.

No one would have blamed him for sitting it out and giving that ankle an early vacation – or better said, an early start on surgery - but Vince wanted to set an example.

“I needed to be out there and I didn’t want to miss any games. I missed that one game (in Detroit on April 4th) but I tried to lobby to play that one as well and it didn’t work out,” said Carter.

As for taking over as a leader, “it’s just a role that I chose to take,” he said. “I wanted to be a leader and a voice.”

Even as things did not go how the team wanted down the stretch of the season, Nets President Rod Thorn certainly noticed Carter’s contributions.

“I think if you look at – numbers sometimes lie – but if you look at his numbers from after the all-star break, there were two other players that had comparable or better numbers than he had: LeBron (James) and Kobe (Bryant),” said Thorn.

“Only Kobe and LeBron had better numbers than he had. His leadership was the best it has been since he’s been here. He always took a backseat to Jason (Kidd) when it came to those kinds of things. I think he considered it Jason’s team – which it was – and he took a backseat but his leadership qualities came to the fore. I can’t say enough about him; I think he played absolutely great from the time of the trade.”

Carter did all he could and acknowledges that the season could potentially have been different were it not for that turn of the ankle against the Celtics. But he will not let that be an excuse – and his play did not show it – for why this year went wrong.

“I hope it drives us all,” said Vince.

“I know for me personally this is not where I want to be and I think our team is better than what we showed this year. So hopefully we take this personally.”

Aunque bueno, allí lo de los años no importa tanto para ser capitán, Kidd era el capitán ya el primer año que estuvo en NJ, normalmente se lo dan al mejor jugador del equipo o al líder del equipo, y pueden serlo más de un jugador, por eso decía que podrían serlo los dos.

hombre yo a veces he criticado a Vicente, pero me encanta macho, tengo un poster de el en mi habitacion suyo gigante cuando aun estaba en Toronto y ahi sigue, y su camiseta con los Nets y tal, otra cosa es que aun no lo tengo en un pedestal como Kidd, pero en mas de un post me habeis visto defendiendole contra viento y marea de los ignorantes, ademas seguro que a corto plazo lo tendre junto con Kidd, ya que sera el lider de un equipo grande y hara historia en nuestra franquicia, y yo creo que el quiere serlo aqui y hacer historia con los Nets, si me tuviera que mojar yo apuesto a que le retiraran el dorsal

pd:otra cosa es tras el traspaso de Kidd que lo vi tan negro y vi la reconstruccion tan cerca que ya me daba igual todo y como si traspasaban a todos, pero eso fue del calenton, VC no se mueve de Jersey!!!!

Dallas y Phoenix a su casa, yo lo que visto de Dallas me da que al entrenador lo tienen que largar, porque no se ha notado para nada el efecto Kidd, y no por el, es que no le dejan desarrollar su juego, supongo que en verano largaran al entrenador y el año que viene se vera realmente como puede jugar ese equipo, pero tener un base del calibre de Jason para hacerle jugar de esa manera, pues chico, no hagais el traspaso, que dar balones a Howard y a Dirk lo puedo hacer hasta yo.

En cuanto a Phoenix pues creo que el primer partido marco muchisimo la serie con esa canasta de Ginobili tras el triple de Nash, ¿¿de verdad vosotros creeis que van a reconstruir o a librarse de algun contrato como el de Diaw??si hacen eso reonoceran que el traspaso de Shaq fue un error, no se, yo no lo veo tan claro.........

De todos modos a cada uno le gustan unos jugadores que a otros no, eso depende de cada uno y tampoco tienen por qué gustarnos tanto los mismos jugadores a todos, otra cosa es que no hay que confundir que te guste más o menos un jugador con la realidad.

Sobre Kidd, pues también hay que reconocer que ya no es el de los buenos tiempos, tiene 35 años, es lo más normal del mundo, las musas se hacen mayores y los jóvenes vienen pegando fuerte por detrás.

Sobre Phoenix, no creo que reconstruyan este año. Pero eso no quiere decir que vayan a querer quitarse de encima algunos contratos. Mirad el verano pasado como se deshicieron del contrato de Kurt Thomas. Diaw está muy sobrepagado para lo que aporta regularmente allí y esa es la razón por la que puede que intenten traspasarle.

pero supongo que se lo querran quitar de encima a cambio de algo interesante, no a cabio de Hassell y Stro.

Si quieren sacar algo bueno por Diaw, les deseo buena suerte. Mira lo que sacaron el año pasado por Thomas. Lo que querían era liberar su salario. No creo que ningún equipo en su sano juicio hipoteque flexibilidad salarial y se trague sin más el contrato de Diaw.
